Prague, Oct 26 (CTK) - Production of L-159 fighter jets at Aero Vodochody will probably be wound up, Hospodarske noviny (HN) reports citing Marek Dospiva, co-owner of Penta investment group which includes Oakfield, Aero's new owner. The government decided to sell Aero to Oakfield on Wednesday for CZK 2.91 billion. "If Aero's management convince us that there is demand for the L-159 aircraft, its production will go on. However, we have serious doubts that the contracts being negotiated are realistic," HN quotes Dospiva as saying. Production of components for Sikorsky helicopters at Aero should continue. "We shall do our best to maintain the Sikorsky project and to raise production," said Dospiva. The company has also offered cooperation to other world producers.
Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge company, today announced that Brandeis University has successfully completed the installation of an Aruba network that provides students with secure mobility and ubiquitous wireless access from anywhere on its 235-acre campus and from remote residential locations. Brandeis has deployed 820 Aruba AP-70 access points (APs) and six Aruba 6000 mobility controllers to cover 110 buildings on campus. In addition, Brandeis is also deploying Aruba's Remote Access Point service to deploy VoIP phone services and mobile access for senior executives and others who work remotely. Symantec's latest Internet Security Threat Report warns of an increase in attacks on home PC users, as well as a jump in malicious users compromising systems to steal information. Home users are by far the most harassed sector of PC users, according to the report, accounting for 86 percent of all targeted attack victims. Widespread internet worms are also giving way to smaller, more targeted attacks that have a better chance of obtaining personal information, the report found. Kelly Martin, group product manager for Symantec, told SCMagazine.com today that home users should keep their operating systems fully patched and use up-to-date anti-virus protection. "The biggest (trend) for me is that attackers are targeting the client, really focusing on targeting the web browsers.
