Hardly a week goes by where one of the Churches is traveling miles to Katrina. To help repair the damage down there. They are doing it in the name of Jesus to show Christian love; spending their own money helping people they don't even know.

There is one couple, which bought a modular home some fifteen years ago.

The couple that they bought the home from put it in the wrong place on their property. For all the winters there has been- water under their house since the wrong placement. (Now they need a permanent cement foundation to go around the whole house to stop the water.) To the homeowners surprise the owners they bought the house from where the same church sales people went. The owner did as the Bible said to do and went to the Church to get the problem fixed. The Leaders didn't want to get involved.

Aerojet Launches Spacecraft Bound to Observe the Sun

Aerojet has launched from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. aboard a Boeing Company Delta II rocket. STEREO consists of two nearly identical satellites launched aboard a single rocket to provide three-dimensional measurements of the Sun's near surface region for studying coronal mass ejections. In addition to the spacecraft propulsion systems, Aerojet provided the second stage engine for the Delta II rocket and a small thruster aboard the rocket's third stage. Aerojet has supported more than 250 Delta launches with the Company's second stage rocket engines with 100 percent mission success. Aerojet has also provided spacecraft propulsion systems for many space missions, including NASA's Advanced Composition Explorer, Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous, Mercury MESSENGER, and Pluto New Horizons.

High-tech sub will be next NC namesake

Unlike the showboating Battleship North Carolina, now a tourist attraction with a famous profile, the Navy's newest USS North Carolina will be a sleek nuclear submarine that aims to stay out of sight. When the sub joins the fleet in about two years, it will carry some of the military's newest gadgets. The ship will be able to attack with missiles, torpedoes and mines or skulk silently to snoop or drop off special operations teams. The sub, under construction at a Virginia shipyard, will be the fourth Navy vessel to carry the North Carolina name. It also will be the fourth in a new class of submarines designed for warfare after the Cold War, when the primary adversary was the Soviet Union. The Navy says the sub will cost $2.4 billion. But taxpayers will spend $95.8 billion to build all 30 Virginia-class submarines, a cost of $3.2 billion per ship, according to the most recent acquisition report published by the Department of Defense.

Hunterdon freeholder race focused on property taxes, fiscal ...

When campaigning in any of Hunterdon County's 26 towns, candidates for the Board of Freeholders say they have a hard time escaping the one issue gripping residents across the county.

"Taxes are on everyone's mind," said Matthew Holt, a former Clinton Town mayor who is running as a Republican for one of two seats on the board. "I know it sounds like a broken record, but, frankly, that's what you get hit with all the time."

As state lawmakers continue to grapple with ways to reduce the nation's highest property tax rates, Hunterdon candidates are positing their own ideas to alleviate the burden on taxpayers.

Sharing services

Holt and Republican freeholder candidate Ron Sworen, who is currently in his 11th year as the mayor of Frenchtown, say promoting shared services throughout Hunterdon's local governments and school systems is paramount to reducing costs in the county.
