PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Morgan Hunter Homes LLC, a LifeStyle Design Company, proudly presents the very best in modular homes in Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Located in historic Bucks County Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia, Morgan Hunter Homes offers a cost- effective alternative to the high priced McMansions. Upon the recent completion of morganhunterhomes.com, this new venture will focus on serving the home ownership needs of "first-time" home buyers and "empty nesters". Though engineered homes have been around for a while, the technology of building, attention to detail, and improved transportation has allowed this building technique to move into the Twenty-first century. With the price of homes in the market skyrocketing out of the grasp of first-time home buyers, Morgan Hunter Homes has the answer with upscale modular construction.
Take a stroll through a Canadian Tire store, and you'll see how friendly the giant retailer has become with celebrity designer Debbie Travis. The line of Travis-branded home decor products has expanded to include new tabletop and decor accessories, bathroom fixtures and lampshades. But perhaps the most significant addition is a line of affordable modular furniture that homeowners can customize to suit a room's function and their own storage needs. Each piece comes in a maple-coloured laminate finish, which can be painted to match any of the four "moods" into which Travis divides her collection. Prices start at about $40 for a one-door cube. There are also occasional items, such as the solid-wood serving cart ($129), designed for the "Nostalgic" mood. For more information, go to http://www.canadiantire.ca.
Will Samvat 2063 be a good time to invest in a home? If you want a property that will definitely rise in value, it has to be premium. At this point, I can make confident predictions about premium housing projects (costing Rs4 crore or more). These are the best investment bets if you are looking at assured price appreciation. Only a limited number of new units will hit the market next year, and there is always demand for such properties, says one Mumbai-based multinational property consultant. For home buyers, the good news is that even though the list prices are not falling, weakening demand is forcing developers to throw in some freebies such as modular kitchens. Price appreciation is likely to take place in and around areas where the Mumbai Metro rail is supposed to pass, says another consultant.
A new batch of affordable housing in Truckee will be move-in ready by the end of November. Fourteen factory-built modular homes were set in place recently at Spring Creek located behind Alder Creek Middle School near the Pioneer Commerce Center. Now construction crews are working on the final touches in preparation for an open house in a couple of weeks, said Karl Saimre of Truckee River Associates. This summer more than 140 people expressed interest in the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath duplex units. Upon completion, Spring Creek will include a total of 30 affordable housing units and 36 market-rate housing units. Saimre said 11 of the 14 affordable units currently in place are reserved, and three of them are for sale. The selling price for the 1,300-square-foot duplex units is $305,000, he said.
Shares of Champion Enterprises Inc. surged nearly 10 percent Wednesday, the day after the manufactured homebuilder narrowly beat Wall Street expectations despite a cool U.S. housing market. The company's third-quarter profit dropped to $9 million, or 12 cents per share, from $16.6 million, or 20 cents per share, last year. But revenue rose 3 percent to $346.5 million, buoyed by a 17 percent jump in modular home sales to $89 million. "We think Champion Enterprises' move toward selling more modular homes is a positive trend given the higher price points and the ability of these homes to hold their value better, which makes modular homes more appealing to consumers," Sidoti & Co. analyst Paul Nouri said Wednesday in a note. The firm also reiterated its "Neutral" rating on the stock and its $8 price target.
