The Hotline is designed to help device manufacturers and mobile operators combat spiraling customer care costs. PASCAGOULA -- By December, six county departments will move into the former Mississippi Unemployment Office on Amonett Street. The county closed on the building Friday. It will become the new home for the county election commission, archives, coroner's office, extension service, office of veteran's affairs and the circuit court's mass tort division. "We chose these departments since they're fundamentally stand-alone offices with small public access requirements. The Amonett complex will give each department ample office, meeting and storage space," County Administrator Alan Sudduth said. Sudduth said the purchase price is $495,000 for 11,564 square feet of space. Sudduth said the majority of the cost will be reimbursed by Federal Emergency Management Agency hurricane recovery funds.
